The Shadow & Light Talisman
A powerful combination of grounding energy and soaring spirit. This handcrafted pendant features a natural Smoky Quartz point—a stone revered for its ability to absorb negativity and provide emotional balance.
Crowning the crystal is an intricate Alpaca silver design of the Kolibri (Hummingbird) and the Serpent. These sacred Andean guardians represent the duality of life: the joy of the heavens and the wisdom of the earth. A vibrant Chrysocolla cabochon is inset at the center, adding a touch of Andean turquoise to this mystical piece.
Ethically handcrafted by our partner artisans in Peru, this necklace is a wearable shield of beauty and tradition.
Smoky Quartz: Grounding & Detoxification
Regarded as the Stone of Endurance, Smoky Quartz is one of the most efficient anchoring stones in the mineral kingdom. Its earthy, translucent depths act as a gentle vacuum for negativity, absorbing and neutralizing emotional stress and environmental pollutants. By transforming dark moods into a steady, practical strength, it provides the resilience needed to navigate difficult times with a clear head. It is a vital companion for those seeking to release what no longer serves them, find emotional stability, and turn their dreams into physical reality.
What is Alpaca Silver?
Alpaca silver (also known as “Nickel Silver” or “German Silver”) is a high-quality metal alloy widely used by South American artisans for its beauty and resilience.
• The Composition: Despite its name, it does not contain elemental silver. It is a sturdy blend of copper, nickel, and zinc.
• The Look: It is prized for its bright, lustrous finish that mimics the look of sterling silver but at a more accessible price point.
• Durability: It is significantly harder and more durable than pure silver, meaning it holds its shape beautifully and is highly resistant to tarnishing.
• Artisanal Tradition: In Peru, Alpaca silver has a deep history. Local master-smiths favor it for its malleability, allowing them to hand-carve the intricate, detailed patterns you see in our hummingbird and serpent designs.
Care Note: Because of its copper content, Alpaca silver may eventually develop a warm patina. A quick polish with a soft cloth or a bit of lemon juice restores its original shine!
Please note: As it contains nickel, this material may not be suitable for those with specific nickel allergies.
